Cryo One 2/ Duo Cryo

We offers a rapid and efficient treatment method called Neurocryostimulation using highly pressurised gas at very low temperatures. This enables practitioners to use thermal shock treatment, a technique which remains entirely pain-free for the patient.

The thermal shock reaction allows the treatment of pain or inflammation within seconds and without the need for medication.
This technique, already widely used in leading sports clubs across the world, is now available to all health care professionals.

C overview1

Practitioare familiar with treatments involving ice or liquid nitrogen cryotherapy, but such techniques are mainly used experimentally and remain impractical. Cryonic is taking cryotherapy forward through the design, manufacture and customisation of systems that are simple to use, whether on the sports field, in surgeries or hospitals.vative capabilities. Cryonic Médical, based in the Jura region of France close to the Swiss border, is the global leader in neurocryostimulation and its technology is certified by ISO 9001 and EN 13485 quality standards. Its methods are now used all over the world.

C overview2

Following several years of cryotherapy research, in 1993 Christian Cluzeau developed a new medical technique: Neurocryostimulation (NCS). With backing from OESO-ANVAR, he formed the company Cryonic Médical. This technique is based on the high pressure spraying of ultra-cooled gas (medical carbon dioxide in the form of microcrystals). This medical innovation by Cryonic Médical offers healthcare professionals a new therapeutic solution in the following areas: aches and pains, inflammation, vascular disorders and muscular contractures.

C overview3

The systems were first patented in 1993 (n° 0633008) and further patents followed in 1998 and 2000. Since then the company has continuously broadened the scope of its activity through the introduction of new treatment protocols and products. Cryonic’s success today resides in its strong innovative capabilities.                                                                                                               Neurocryostimulation

All equipment used in the practice of NEUROCRYOSTIMULATION (also known as hyperbaric gaseous cryotherapy) is patented. The use of CO2 at -78°C under high pressure causes the skin temperature to fall from 32°C to 2°C within 30 seconds; this reaction is known as a :

    Thermal shock

This activates the cutaneous neuroreceptors, generating an immediate remote corrective reflex in the organism that activates the NEUROVEGETATIVE system.Pic 1

This produces several effects: effects on endocrinal and enzymatic production, an inhibitive effect on pain receptors through the reduction of sodium pump activity and the relaying of nervous impulses and the activation of the vasomotor reflex of the vascular and lymphatic systems.
There is an additional, muscle relaxant effect, observable in the reduction in muscle tone.

    • Recommendations for use
Once the microcrystals have formed on the skin’s surface be careful not to provoke burning by focusing the jet on a single point.
When treating oedemata increase the distance between the skin and the jet slightly to avoid a painful sensation caused by the pressure.
When treating muscles use a sweeping motion to move the jet in the direction of the fibres. For treatment of circulation disorders ensure that the jet movement follows the vein flow direction.
Allow a 15 minute rest period following each treatment and before any manipulation for the muscle relaxant effect to occur.

    D1-1

In choosing Cryonic as a partner you choose the inventor and developer of the neurocryostimulation concept.

Cryonic’s team of researchers have been working on the concept since 1993. Through Cryonic’s patented Neurocryostimulation devices you benefit from an advance in painkilling technology.

In choosing Cryonic you are guaranteed optimum efficiency and first-hand access to technological progress.

    What everybody knows…

We live in an environment of constant stress and competitiveness that has led to an increase in diseases such as RSI (repetitive strain injury), pain and inflammation-inducing conditions and states of semi-permanent muscular contracture.

The global population is ageing and action is needed to meet the increasing demand for geriatric treatments. Osteo-arthritis ranks as one of the ten most incapacitating illnesses in the developed world. It is estimated that 9.6% of men and 18% of women over 60 suffer from it at a global level. In 80% of cases it restricts the person’s movement and 25% of sufferers are unable to carry out everyday tasks. Source: WHO 2002
Our lifestyle, diet, the frequent overheating of our homes and our working conditions are also the cause of major circulatory disorders.

Neurocryostimulation provides an alternative to drug-based treatments; it is a medical innovation offering a reduction in healthcare costs.

Its advantage lies in its immediate reduction of pain and inflammation, avoiding the need for invasive treatments and guaranteeing maximum patient comfort.
It enables a more thorough recovery for the patient and more effective healing of scar tissue.

    Its scope is extremely broad:

    • rheumatology: inflammation, sciatica, Sudeck’s disease, torticollis, osteo-arthritis, arthritis, epicondylitis, lumbago, tendonitis, etc.
    • traumatology: oedemata, haematomas, sprains, muscle strains, etc.
    • and many other conditions and injuries: bruising, scars, wounds, etc.

The Cryonic method is also endorsed by the sports business at the highest level (see references) Why? Because it is highly efficient and can be applied in minimal time: It can therefore even be used in the heat of the event!
This method is now widely available.

It is what your patients have been waiting for…Neurocryostimulation from Cryonic meets their needs, and yours too!
